Schedules and hours

You can find schedules for programs, group exercises, and pools on your Y's location page, or from the menu under Schedules -> Schedules by Location.

Mobile Food Market schedules can be found in english and spanish at ymcawnc.org/programs/community/food-programs.

You can also download our mobile app on your smartphone at ymcawnc.org/membership/mobile-app.  

Please go to your Y location's homepage to see our operating hours, pools, gyms, and other services.

Membership

We have a variety of membership options to fit your individual and household needs, plus income-based memberships.

We also encourage you to stop in a one of our locations for a tour and a membership representative can give you rate information.

Our association participates in the Y’s Nationwide Membership program, as do many other Ys in North Carolina and in other states. Please see https://ymcawnc.org/sites/default/files/2023-05/Nationwide%20Membership%20YMCA%20Policy%20May%202023.pdf for guidelines on how to use this member benefit at other facilities.
 
In addition to checking www.ymca.org to see if the Y you plan to visit participates, it’s a good idea to contact that Y directly to see if COVID protocols are affecting their operations.

If you are visiting our Y from out of town, be sure to check with your home Y to make sure they participate in the Nationwide Membership program. 

The YMCA of Western North Carolina partners to provide wellness benefits for Medicare Advantage plans through Silver&Fit, RenewActive by UnitedHealthcare, First Carolina Care, and for Part B subscribers, we also work with a Medicare Supplement through AARP's At Your Best Program. 

Unlike Silver Sneakers, each of these options provides a full YMCA membership with access to all locations and classes. Some Medicare Advantage plans/supplement require fees and annual enrollment. Contact your insurance broker for details.

Yes, day passes are $15 per individual, $30 per family/household. We also offer a temporary monthly pass, which is $59 + a $25 joining fee. 

Childcare

School-age children who are enrolled in our Afterschool programs do have care provided (full day) when schools are closed for snow days, if sites are open. Please check WLOS on snow days for updated information.
